Hopscotch and the death of Cupid

All those times I watched you playing Hopscotch in the sun.
I never understood that game and I don't much understand this one.
What am I supposed to do?
I just don't understand the rules…

Now when I find Cupid that boy is dead.
I'm going to wrap that bow around his little head
and break his arrows — he is pathetic
I swear that he must be myopic, if he can't see, etc.
